Favorite Family Vacation!
My Favorite Family Vacation
I was in about the 5th
grade when I took my very first trip to Six Flags over Atlanta, Georgia. I was
so excited because I had heard so many great things about Six Flags, plus big
scary rides were always my thing! My parents decided to take me and my older
brother because we passed our grade with such good grades. So we packed up and
headed that way! When we got there, I was amazed at how gorgeous Atlanta was.
It was the first biggest city I had ever laid eyes on! It was incredible to me.
Really it was my first big trip that my parents took me on so I was overly
excited. We rode around the city and downtown to look at the lights at night
and just how gorgeous those tall buildings were. I will never forget how pretty
it was! Then we grabbed a bite to eat, and headed to our hotel room. Trying to
sleep that night was almost impossible because I was so excited! Eventually I
finally fell asleep and when I woke up the next day the excitement was unreal!
I woke up, jumped out of bed, changed clothes, and begged my Mom, Dad, and
brother to hurry up and get ready! Once we got there I couldn’t stop smiling,
or picking out what I was going to ride. We got through the gates and my
parents asked me what I wanted to ride first, I couldn’t even decide I was
pointing at this and that all over the park and dragging them everywhere. I
rode almost everything that I was tall enough to ride, and dragged my brother
on the biggest rides with me because he loves them too! Once it was lunchtime
we grabbed something to eat, then I went back to riding stuff again. I went
from huge swings, to almost all of the rollercoasters at the park, to the drop,
everything! Then I saw the Justice League and I used to be an absolute Wonder
Woman freak. Seeing her I had to take a picture. So I took a picture standing
next to her, with the rest of the gang, Flash, Batman, Green Lantern, etc. It made my day even better. Then I got a
wonder woman cape also! Then I got some Dip N’ Dots because oh my goodness do I
love those. After that we were all worn out and sunburned so we looked like
wore out lobsters, lol. We were ready to head back to the hotel. So, after a
long 9 hour day in the sun we passed clean out and then the next day we headed
home. I sat in the backseat staring at my wonder woman cape hoping we would
come back soon. After that trip, we went every summer because my parents loved
the look on my face at that park! It was the best trip I could’ve asked for and
the day I found my absolute happy place.
