Nighttime Skincare Routine

nighttime skincare routine

One thing I haven’t shared in a while is a good skincare routine. Honestly, I can’t even explain why I think it’s just because I had fallen off from doing routine posts. Anyways, here we are with my updated nighttime skincare routine. Normally, my skincare routine is pretty simple and quick because I get really tired after I shower at night and am so ready to lie down, but I do like to take a little time out of my night to just really take care of my skin. So, if you want to know my nighttime skincare routine, just keep reading.

- So the first thing I like to do is just take off all of my makeup. It’s one of the worst but also best feelings, am I right?

- Once I’ve gotten all of my makeup off I usually hop in the shower so I can wash my body and face off really well. Normally I only wash my hair every 2-3 days because washing it every single day is terrible for your hair, or so I’ve heard.

- After I hop out of the shower I pat dry and pat my face dry. You don’t want to rub because it can cause premature wrinkles, and we don’t want to cause those! Try to be careful with your skin it’s pretty fragile after a hot shower.

- Then while my face is still a little damp if I’m in the mood for it I’ll do a good face mask to get my skin clean, clear, and glowy.

- After that’s been on my face for about a good 10-15 minutes I’ll rinse or peel it off with some warm water.

- Then I’ll go ahead and put on my moisturizer and under eye cream.

- After that, I just throw on some Carmex for my lips, because they are important too.

- Once I finish putting that on, I’m done! Quick and easy and super simple to do.

So that was all for this post and I really hope you all enjoyed reading! Take care of your skin and think of it this way, in all honesty, it really is what holds you together. Check back soon for more routines, beauty posts, lifestyle posts, wellness posts, and more!

Bloom and Prosper Candles Review
*This post may contain affiliate links*
bloom and prosper candle review tobacco oak comforting sandalwood

Recently I came across these candles in Ross one day because I love Ross and I’m literally in there every single day I have the money to spend. I was walking around and then stopped to smell candles and ended up spending way too much on candles and clothes but anyways. This post is not sponsored but it does contain affiliate links only because I want you guys to be able to purchase these too if you want after this post because they really are amazing candles which is why I’m writing this for you guys.

So, about a week ago, I went in Ross and walked to the back and found this incredible candle by bloom and prosper and the scent was tobacco and oak. The smell was absolutely so incredible, I could not put it down. Plus, the jar was super cute and had a white and black color to it and had stay positive written on the top of the lid and the front of the jar, which was even cooler to me. Usually I don’t care for tobacco or oak smells at all, but this was different. This candle smelt so different and it has a musky smell to it but also a sweet and also perfumey sell to it and I fell in love. Not only that but I noticed, it was only about $12 originally and down to $7 at Ross. Um yes, I had to grab that baby because it smells sooo amazing.

The second I got home I lit it and literally I could smell it in the living room everywhere and also down the hall and in the kitchen because it’s such a rich and good scent that you can smell it that far away. It actually burns very evenly too which is a shock because most candles don’t do that too well. Anyways, I absolutely fell in love with this candle and it’s just so pretty and smells absolutely amazing.

Then, today I went back into Ross and of course, me being me and my candle loving self, went to the back to smell. Well, I found ANOTHER bloom and prosper but this one was a tad bit different. It was shorter and had a different look to the jar. It wasn’t as cute as the other, but it was still pretty cute and actually reminded me of beachy vibes honestly. Well, I smelled it and could NOT put it down again. The scent of this one is comforting sandalwood and it says it’s scented for relaxation. It has also a wood wick so it has that crackling sound which is SUPER relaxing. The smell sort of reminds me of an amazing smelling mens cologne and the beach mixed together. It’s absolutely incredible and the smell is actually very rich and strong but also it’s not too overpowering.

Best part is, I got this one for only $5.99 at Ross and it was only originally $8.95. These candles are super cheap but they smell SO good. When I lit this candle I could automatically smell it and it’s such a rich scent that it didn’t surprise me I could smell it all throughout the house. The sound was absolutely so relaxing and I will forever be in love with wooden wicks now because of the sound. It also like the last one burns super evenly which is still surprising in any candle.

Final review, these candles are absolutely incredible and I give them a 10+ because of how amazing they smell, look, and how relaxing the smells are which I’ve never had in a candle. Bath and body works has some competition now. J

Thank you guys for reading and if you would like to get yourself some of these amazing candles that I highly recommend, you can look below and find the ones I have and also some others that I’m going to try very soon! If you get them or one please comment and let me know your thoughts as well. I love to hear from you guys.

Hope you enjoyed this post and check back soon for more loves. J

At Home Spa Night / Pamper Night Routine.
at home spa night and pamper routine

This post hasn’t been written in a while so I figured why not write it for you guys! One of my favorite things to do after a long day is to just have myself a good pamper night and just relax and get refreshed again. There are tons of things I like to do a good pamper night so if you would like to know my routine and have your own, just keep reading! J

©       The first thing I like to do is just grab all of the things I will need in the bath or when I get out. The things I like to get are, portable speaker to jam out because music is the best especially during a spa night, my phone just in case I want to change the song or watch some YouTube or something, all of my moisturizers which are usually already in the bathroom, some nail polish and remover and nail clippers, hair brush and products I like to add to my hair after I get out, clothes duh, a good bubble bath (bath and body works is my favorite), and some candles or at least one to light while I relax.

©       Once I’ve got everything I need I just start running my water and add my bubble bath. My current favorite is Paris Amour by Bath and Body Works because it just smells so good and girly which is totally me!
©       While my waters running I like to light some candles, wash my face, and just go ahead and brush my teeth to get it over with before I get in the tub.

©       Once the tub is full I just like to obviously get in and I usually just lie back and relax while I jam to some of my favorite music. Usually, I’ll go with some bubble bath playlists on Spotify or just some type of relaxing music and from time to time I’ll go to country because I don’t know I just really like country or I’ll sing along to Selena Gomez or Ariana Grande because I mean why not right?

©       After I’ve had a good soak in the tub for at least about 30 minutes I’ll just shave my legs and everything and just wash myself really well and then I’ll turn on the shower and rinse off everything and just wash my hair like normal just to get all of the bubbles and everything out.

©       After I’m done in the tub I just get out dry off like normal and just use my FAVORITE lotion which is EOS and I have the full set which comes with the body lotion, chap stick, and the hand lotion and I usually like to use the hand one on my face just because it doesn’t seem to break me out somehow.

©       Then I’ll just moisturize all over my legs arms and everywhere just to make sure I’m completely pampered up because moisturizing is essential on a pamper night but especially after shaving.

©       After I finish with that I’ll just put on deodorant (obv) and throw on my clothes I have laid out which is usually something super comfy and my big t-shirts are my favorites for nights like this because they are soo comfy and just throw on either some joggers or some pajama shorts ( I have a TON. )

©       Once I have all of that done I’ll just usually remove all of my old nail polish and just cut and repaint my nails because I probably haven’t in weeks and pamper nights are the best nights to do this in my opinion. I’m not the greatest at painting my nails you guys, not gonna lie.

©       Then once my nails are painted and looking cute, I’ll wash my hands because feet aren’t the cleanest. Then I head into the kitchen and if it’s still pretty early I’ll make myself some coffee or if it’s later I’ll make myself some tea.

©       After I have that made I’ll just usually lay in the bed and either write some blog posts, get on social media, YouTube, read some other blogs, or just read a good magazine and watch TV.

So that was all for my pamper night/spa night routine you guys! Hope you all enjoyed reading and that you also have a great pamper night yourself. Comment some of your favorite things to do on your pamper/spa night routines I would love to hear! Thank you for reading and check back soon for more. J
Happy Easter! | Easter Porch Sign DIY | Easter Decorations
This post may contain affiliate links*

Hey loves! Just wanted to tell you guys happy Easter because who doesn’t love Easter? Let’s not forget though the main thing about Easter isn’t eggs, gifts, candy, baskets, or yummy food, it’s about the creator who gave us these amazing things we have today. Also to kids it’s about the Easter bunny too, lol! So don’t forget that.

Anyways, I hope you guys all have a lovely Easter full of family, friends, and very yummy food! Before I finish up this post really quick I just had to show you guys this Easter porch sign DIY decoration that I made a few days ago and I absolutely loved it and the way it turned out! It was really easy (especially if you are pretty artistic and crafty). If you’re not extremely artistic and crafty though don’t worry about it just go for it and give it your best shot and I’m sure it’ll come out great!
easter-porch-sign-diy

You will need;

Acrylic paint (any colors you would like but I recommend pastels or brights, mainly because it’s for Easter and spring is very light and bright)

An old flat board/piece of wood. (be careful in case of splinters in wood)

Paint brushes (Artists type, variety of sizes and shapes, do NOT use a regular paintbrush because it won’t work well for lettering at all)

Old plate or paper plate (to put paint onto to use)

Cup of water (I like to use hot or lukewarm. This is just to clean your brushes)

Paper towel or rag (to dry brushes every time after cleaning them)

Directions;

The first thing you want to do is grab a damp rag or damp sponge and just wipe off your wood just to be sure it’s clean and dry because if not then you could possibly run into a piece of dirt or grass or something gross and then it’ll just mess up your painting or leave a lump in the painting and look just different or off.

So the next thing you want to do is just paint the entire thing whichever color you’re base color is. As you can see I used a turquoise color blue (only because I didn’t have a light baby blue) and you just need to paint the entire front. You can also paint the sides if you would like too but I didn’t worry about those.

Next, you want to start with the letters. I went in with a very small pointy brush first and some black acrylic paint (use whatever color you like I was out of white or I would’ve used that) then I just carefully and SLOWLY started making my letters. Don’t treat these like you’re writing on a piece of paper or something because they aren’t that simple and are very easy to mess up on. Just take your time with them and they will look great. Art is all about patience.

After you have your letters written and painted go back over them with a flat smaller brush and make them a little thicker. Sort of like I done mine because you want to make sure the letters are big enough so that way people can read the sign. The whole point in porch decorations is so EVERYONE can see them, make sure they can read them too you guys.

Once you have your letters thickened out and they can be read from a distance, let your painting dry. This shouldn’t take longer than 15-20 minutes because it’s acrylic paint so it dries fairly fast.

Now, start on your decorations. You can add whatever you like to decorate it for Easter but for mine I done a variety of different things. For the banners I just drew a black line going across up and down in between the lines of words and then just added little flags and filled them in. I used a variety of different colors for this because I just felt like it looked cutest.

Once I finished with those I just done a variety of different colored polka dots all over the painting just because they add a little extra to the painting and they are just super cute and scream Easter.

After that was done, I just got some bright lime green paint and just got a flat small brush and just started from the bottom with the brush long ways up and just stroked upwards and just made the grass about the length I thought it looked like average grass.

Then I just added in some cute flowers to the bottom near the grass because spring is all about flowers and bright pretty colors. I added a dab of yellow in the middle because well, it looked more like a flower once I done that.

After that I just done a few touch ups and was finished with this adorable Easter project! It turned out great and I absolutely love it and I actually got compliments on it from our neighbor. (Please excuse our paint job on the house we are renting and it I know doesn’t look perfect but we’re renting so we can’t fix it).

Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed this post and have yourself a great Easter with your friends and family and if you have little ones I hope they enjoy their Easter as well! Thanks for reading loves and check back MWF for new posts and if you enjoyed this post please share and comment and let me know if you tried out my DIY. I would love to see your results as well!

HOPPY EASTER!!!

My Picks For This Post:

My Favorite Spring Shoe Picks!

What girl does not love shoes, I mean really? So I figured now that it’s spring I would bring you guys this post to show you guys my ultimate favorite spring shoe picks that are all the most stylish picks and I myself would love to wear or have worn. If you want to be in style this spring, just keep reading!

These are the best for running, hitting the gym, and for everyday wear. They literally go with honestly any outfit and they are super comfy. Not only that but if you’re an amusement park freak like me, these are a LIFE SAVER. My feet always hurt after standing long hours or walking but luckily these help me on that issue. These are definitely my favorite for not only spring but any season because they look good, feel good, and they keep your feet warm in winter but they also keep them cool in summer which are just more reasons to love these.

This is a very cute pair of sandals I found not too long ago and I am obsessed! I haven’t purchased these yet but I am very soon when I get the funds because they can go with everything and not only that but I love the style of these. I’ve always been a lover of sandals and especially crisscross sandals because they just look so great!

These are also another pair I’m purchasing very soon because they are really cute! These would look absolutely fabulous with a dress or something like that matched with them. They look like they would be great for a night out or some sort of festival like Coachella. I’m obsessed and they look like they could go with a ton of different outfits.

Booties are definitely great for spring and fall! They are so friggin cute and they go great with ANYTHING. These, I would definitely wear a dress with because they would look incredible with any color dress but especially a peach/pink dress or something very flowy. Honestly, I’m not the greatest in heels but these I will be getting because they look great and I could definitely see them with a peach dress.

These would be PERFECT for a night out with a cute dress. That or really any special event. The floral and pink in these really bring out the love for spring. Not only that but I love the bow on the strap, it adds a little accessory to it and not only that but they just look great! I could definitely see these with a cute dress for a night out or special event.

I’ve heard nothing but great news from this brand of rain boots. If you’re from one of those rainy states, which is normal in spring anyways, then I definitely recommend these. These are the absolute best and you can wear them with anything at all and they still look great. Plus they are the absolute best I’ve heard from everywhere and almost everyone has a pair! Definitely recommended for those rainy spring days and nights.

So that’s all of the shoes I could find right this minute for spring you guys but if I find any others I will add to this post. Hope you guys enjoyed and please share if you did with the little pink and purple bar there on the side! It would be appreciated greatly. Anyways, check back MWF for more posts and hope you enjoyed reading.
Spring Morning Routine.
*This post may contain affiliate links*

free-easter-printables-spring-morning-routine-post

So, it is FINALLY Spring! Where the sun comes out, the birds are chirping, the flowers are growing back, and it’s finally warm enough to put on a tank top without a jacket (in most places)! So if you guys want to know what my spring morning routine is, just keep reading. (Printables will be at the end of the post)

So the first thing I do when I wake up is literally just lay in bed and get on social media for a while because I mean, who doesn’t do this am I right? Plus, I’m never much of a morning person so I always have to play on my phone to wake up. Usually I’ll just check my Facebook, Pinterest for about an hour lol, and then Twitter. I’m not much of an Instagram person it’s once in a blue moon I decide to go on there.

Once I’ve finally gotten tired of laying in the bed or just absolutely have to use the bathroom, I’ll get up head to the bathroom and just brush my teeth and wash my face because I cannot stand having an oily face all day and one face wash that helps me control that problem is this clean & clear foaming face wash. Sometimes I take a shower in the mornings but usually it’s a night time thing.

After I finish up in the bathroom, I just open up all the curtains in the house because I just love my home nice and bright. Plus where I recently moved in New Mexico the sun is ALWAYS shining so I absolutely love the curtains open and the sun shining in my home.

Then, I usually grab me some breakfast. Sometimes I’ll cook something like pancakes, but the majority of the time I’ll grab a pop-tart or granola bar. Of course I’ve also gotta make my coffee too because who doesn’t love coffee? Then I’ll just sit down watch some T.V. and eat my breakfast.

Once I’m finished with my breakfast, I’ll usually get up and go ahead and start cleaning up the house. I’m extremely OCD so having a nasty house, is not my thing. I keep my home SPOTLESS so I make sure to clean up literally every single day the best I can.

After the house is clean I just sit down and usually work. Writing blog posts, editing, editing photos, proofreading, designing, sharing, etc. All of the above I need to do for work I’ll do it now. Then after hours of working I’ll usually put on a cute outfit if I have somewhere to be, get dressed, and just head into town to do what I need to do or maybe even grab some lunch.

So that was all for my spring morning routine you guys! I hope you enjoyed reading and that this post interested you. Also, I hope you guys love spring as much as I do because it’s literally the best after those forever long cold winter months. Thanks for reading you guys!
