Sometimes, you just have to let go of some people. If they come back to you as a better person then they really love you and are meant to be in your life. If they don't, it's time to let them go. You can try and try and try to change a person but they won't ever really change until you show them you won't put up with it anymore.

When a person is so toxic, and mean, and they just feed off of drama it's time to let them go. When all they do is guilt trip you and make you feel bad for their wrongs or for trying to do one thing that's good for you instead of just them for once it's time to let them go. When you try to talk to them about your problems and want them there for you as a friend or family but yet they turn it back around to their problems instead of yours they aren't worth it anymore. All they are doing is dragging you down. Focus on the people that are there when you need them. When you say you feel like dying and they say no you're going to be okay and make it out of this alive. When you say you can't handle it anymore and they say just hold on a little bit longer. Those are the real friends and family and people in your life worth keeping.

There are some though, that think they are the only ones with problems. Some that make others feel like they aren't worthy of life or living. These people love to act like a queen or king and like they rule the world and your world. They guilt trip you on your decisions and get mad when you try to run your own life and decisions. If you know me well enough and you're reading this, you know who I'm talking about because you know her too.

These type of people aren't real family or friends or lovers. They aren't who you need them to be and they aren't there when you need them. They'll claim they do everything in their power to make you happy, but then when it comes down to helping you they only worry about themselves and their problems. They'll crap talk everyone in the book then when someone else does it to them they get hurt. They'll feed off of drama and love to live in it. It's like drama is food to them and they can't survive without it. They are always mad at either you or another family member or friend. Then even when they are supposedly best friends with someone, they'll talk badly about them. They are severely two-faced and will not change nor grow up no matter how old they are.

They say something about you never calling even though they know you never call or text first you wait for a call and you've said that before. Then you get guilt-tripped into that and blamed for that. When they know you have social anxiety. Then they'll try to put you in situations you don't want to be in even after they already know, you hate being in crowded rooms and can't breathe in them. Then if you don't show up, you'll get guilted for that. Every little thing you do you'll be made feel guilty for missing or for not doing whenever they could've done something to help you be there and didn't. They could've done something to stop or ease the pain but they didn't. Why? Because they only care about themselves.

These type of people that bully you, make you feel these ways, and make you feel guilty about every little thing, are doing nothing but hurting you. You can try and try and try to please that person but they won't ever be satisfied. They feed off of drama and your pain and hurt. It's what they love to do. As long as they are happy that's all that matters. These type of people, no matter how badly it hurts you-you have to let go of. They aren't worth hurting yourself over anymore. You can love them with all your heart and soul but love them from a distance and stop letting them control you and your thoughts. This person has torn me apart for 20 years and I've had enough. I've had enough of my life and relationships being controlled by this person. I am my own self, I control my own thoughts and decisions and most of all my own life. It is my life and I'll live it the way I want to live it. Not by anyone else's rules anymore.

It's time to live my own life and stop letting someone else think they can control it. I'll love you always, but it's time to let go and love from a distance.

If you are going through this, know you aren't alone. It's one of the hardest things you'll ever have to do especially if it's a close family member. The thing is though, if you're an adult then you have the right to your own life and decisions. I know it sucks to hurt other people but you shouldn't continue to hurt yourself either. Do what is right for you for once, erase the toxic people and things out of your life and watch how much better it gets.

50 ways to lift your mood

Hey loves and welcome back to my blog!

Today's post I wanted to change it up a bit and just do something that isn't makeup related for once. I hope you all are okay with that. It's just lately I've felt uninspired in the makeup world and just not motivated to do the things I normally would love to do. Something about makeup and how obsessed I was with it has worn completely off almost.

Lately, I haven't dressed up and have been trying to go natural and give myself a break from beauty and focus more on my mental well-being instead of how I look. It's the most important thing and I really feel a lot better for it. Soon I'll get back to writing beauty blog posts but for today I just wanted to try something different and see how it went.

Sometimes we all get so caught up in the beauty world and fashion and everything based off of looks that we forget to take care of ourselves and our mental health. It easily happens to everyone and then we lose track of where we wanted to be and what we really wanted to do because we were so focused on everything looking perfect for social media and other people when behind closed doors it's a complete mess. I'm not here to be fake and act like everything is perfect. I'll tell the truth whether it be good or bad I'll write that things aren't perfect whereas the media these days thinks it's alright to try and act like someone you aren't. You should always be yourself and love yourself just as much as you do others. Don't be chained to the game of comparison and compare yourself or your life to others. Just work on your own.

Anyways, I'll stop rambling on. If you've been down, kicked around, and in a crappy mood lately then here are 50 ways you can lift your mood to get you up and smiling again. :)

  39. Play your favorite video game.
  40. Drink a glass of wine or make yourself a healthy smoothie. Whichever makes you feel the best today.
  41. Listen to your favorite podcast.
  42. Get some work done. After you're done you'll feel better.
  43. Watch your favorite movie. (Even if it's a Disney one)
  44. Watch some cartoons. They never fail to cheer me up.
  45. Go to your favorite restaurant.
  46. Try a new restaurant.
  47. Paint your nails.
  48. Go get your hair done, treat yo self.
  49. Get organized, it never fails to make me feel better.
  50. Smile. Because even if you are having a bad day smiling can make you feel a little put together and better anyways.
I hope this post inspired you and helps you find the best ways to boost your mood and get you up and going again. Thank you all so much for reading and check back soon for more posts. :)

50 Ways To Lift Your Mood

Hey loves and welcome back to my blog! Today's post I wanted to change it up a bit and just do something that isn't makeup r...

Hey loves! Honestly, I can't apologize enough for being gone.

I deleted this blog to start a new one because I just felt like this one wasn't really taking off or going any place but then I decided, why not just keep writing on both? So anyway, I've been working on my beauty blog which I recently took a little break from because I've been going through some mentally challenging things. I just had these things I had to work out in life and relationships and family and it was a lot but it's all figured out now.

For the past month, I've just been out of it and my motivation has been completely gone. My mental health has not been the greatest at all honestly. I feel terrible for missing out on blogging for this blog and my other one but it's just been so much on me lately trying to take care of myself. It's been probably too much on me honestly.

The other blog seems to have a lot more success than this one and I've had it a shorter amount of time than this blog which is why I kind of got burnt out on working on here. But then I realized, I've worked on this blog for at least a year and a half if not longer now so why stop now. My main goal is to become the blogger everyone dreams of becoming and this blog wasn't doing justice to that dream whereas I see potential in my other blog. So for this blog, it'll still mostly be advice posts and things to help you all out in life. There will also be lifestyle and beauty posts like I planned in the beginning for this blog.

I just couldn't give up on my readers most of all you all are everything to this blog and actually, make me feel great about how hard I work on here because I know my work gets read. Thank you all so much for always being so supportive. Comment below the type of posts you would love to read and I'll start looking through and writing them! I love connecting with you all. Check back soon for more great posts now that I'm pumped and motivated again. :)
Summer Bucket List 2018

summer bucket list 2018

We all love summer bucket lists as much as fall right? I figured, well why not post one! If you like to read these as much as I do, just keep reading!

- Hit an amusement park! Six Flags, Disney, I don’t care one or the other I seriously need some roller coaster and drop tower therapy. Adrenaline rushes are my therapy.

- Road trip. Even if it’s just 2 hours to New Orleans or the Coast I just want to get out and have fun this summer which is something I haven’t done in a while. Plus, who doesn’t love a good road trip?

- Go to the beach, and I mean a lot. The thing I didn’t do last year near enough was go to the beach so that’s definitely something that I just really want to do a ton this summer!

- Have a bonfire or go to one. Just me, a few friends and family, some booze, and a good time full of stories, life updates, and fun.

- Go on a picnic, me and babe, a blanket, some lemonade, something cute and picnic like to eat, some fruit, and just sit out there on a good sunny day and eat together and relax a bit.

- Buy more flowers. One thing I don’t have in my house right now is flowers like what so ever, and I would LOVE to have some cute summery bright colored flowers and plants in my house.

- Do some yoga outdoors. I mean, I’m kind of worried about how people will view me or look at me especially in my neighborhood but it’s just something I really want to try.

- Eat a ton of watermelon. What’s better than watermelon in the summertime? That and pineapple literally nothing is better in summer.

- Go swimming more often. Last summer, I got to swim once at a waterpark in New Mexico which was way fun, I’ll admit. In all honesty, though, I wish I would have more but this summer that is definitely something I want to do more of.

Hopefully, I can complete all of these by the end of summer or at least the beginning of August and if so, I’ll feel pretty good about this summer. 2018 I’m ready for you.

nighttime skincare routine

One thing I haven’t shared in a while is a good skincare routine. Honestly, I can’t even explain why I think it’s just because I had fallen off from doing routine posts. Anyways, here we are with my updated nighttime skincare routine. Normally, my skincare routine is pretty simple and quick because I get really tired after I shower at night and am so ready to lie down, but I do like to take a little time out of my night to just really take care of my skin. So, if you want to know my nighttime skincare routine, just keep reading.

- So the first thing I like to do is just take off all of my makeup. It’s one of the worst but also best feelings, am I right?

- Once I’ve gotten all of my makeup off I usually hop in the shower so I can wash my body and face off really well. Normally I only wash my hair every 2-3 days because washing it every single day is terrible for your hair, or so I’ve heard.

- After I hop out of the shower I pat dry and pat my face dry. You don’t want to rub because it can cause premature wrinkles, and we don’t want to cause those! Try to be careful with your skin it’s pretty fragile after a hot shower.

- Then while my face is still a little damp if I’m in the mood for it I’ll do a good face mask to get my skin clean, clear, and glowy.

- After that’s been on my face for about a good 10-15 minutes I’ll rinse or peel it off with some warm water.

- Then I’ll go ahead and put on my moisturizer and under eye cream.

- After that, I just throw on some Carmex for my lips, because they are important too.

- Once I finish putting that on, I’m done! Quick and easy and super simple to do.

So that was all for this post and I really hope you all enjoyed reading! Take care of your skin and think of it this way, in all honesty, it really is what holds you together. Check back soon for more routines, beauty posts, lifestyle posts, wellness posts, and more!

Pin it for later!
