5 Ways To Stop Letting The Little Things Bother You.
Sometimes we go through phases and in those phases we let every little thing get to us and bother us. From some little lame statement where someone was joking with us to even something as small as something falling on the ground, we wanted to eat. We let it get to us too easily and it’s what ends up leading to depression/anxious thoughts. It’s hard to stop letting the little things bother us though, but that’s why I’m bringing you this post. So here are some of my top tips to stop letting the little smallest sorts of things get to you so easily.
Don’t even analyze it. Whatever was said, whatever happened, don’t think about it. Don’t even try to think about it. If you know that it will hurt your feelings if you think about it, then don’t because it’s going to get to you and then it’ll be stuck in your head and lead to depression and bad thoughts. Ignore it completely, and you’ll be much happier at the end of the day.
Resist complaining. Complaining ONLY causes more trouble and drama in your life and more negativity. Stay away from it, it’s not worth your time, energy, or worrying about at all. Complaining is one of the most negative things you can do aside from comparing. Don’t let complaining get to you and be the cause of dumb things bothering you constantly.
Look at the smaller picture. If you look at every problem you have at a bigger angle than what it really is, you’ll let it bother you every single time. Try to look at it from a smaller viewpoint, and it won’t bother you as much. If you look at it like it’s just a smaller problem, then it won’t get to you as badly as a bigger problem would. Get what I’m saying? Viewpoint is everything, you just have to stay positive.
Choose love. No matter what is said to you, what happens to you, or how bad things seem to get, choose love and kind words. They will repay you for it and at the end of the day, you’ll feel much better knowing that you chose to be kind to someone instead of hateful like they did. Plus, everyone is repaid for kindness at the end of it all.
Stop depending on expectations. Expectations are just something that will let you down in the end. They aren’t even worth getting your hopes up for. Don’t expect anything out of anyone or anything, and it can’t get to you in the end if they let you down because you didn’t expect anything out of them.
