Trying New Things + Finding Your Happy Place

Trying New Things + Finding Your Happy Place

When we're going through a lot, all we want to do is find our happy place and something that can make and keep us happy. New hobbies are always the way to go and I've been trying new things a ton lately. No, I'm not saying change yourself completely. I'm saying go out and find some things that you think you might love to do or take interest in and try them out! Recently, I made a post about needing change and going through a lot because there's been a lot of mess in my life lately and a ton of drama going on. Honestly, I'm not one for drama I'd rather stay in and chill with my love or by myself and find something to do that I love. So, I found a few things I had an interest in and wanted to try them out. First thing I started was Tarot cards and readings. Some people say not to do this it takes over your life or is evil. Honestly, it's not evil unless you make it evil. Some people use these like a Ouija board, others like me do it to connect with  themselves and their own soul and see how they are feeling. I ask questions like where my love life is going, where my life and future is headed, how am I feeling right now, what do I need more or less of, etc. It's just a good thing to do to connect with yourself more often and to just get to know yourself in a way you couldn't before.

Another thing I've started doing more of, Yoga! Used to, I thought it was a weird thing and I could never get into it because you had to have "balance" and "flexibility" but honestly, yoga is to teach you to have those things. Not only that but it helps you focus on your breathing and just sort of relax and detox your mind. It's very new to me and today was actually my first day but I absolutely loved it! It helped me to focus on my breathing, erase all of my bad thoughts, and it literally felt like a cardio session except I wasn't in complete pain during and after it. I just sweated an excessive amount but I felt GOOD about it for once. Like I'm all for cardio, and a run can kick out any stress or bad thoughts I had in my mind, but in all honesty by the time I'm done I always end up in pain and can't breathe and I feel dead and every time I do it I get shin splints. With yoga it's a good way to just breathe and relax but still burn some good calories and kick my own butt so I loved it today! There are a ton of great poses and things to get you started on YouTube and Pinterest. I used Pinterest so I could have my music and yoga poses laid out in front of me at the same time while I was moving. You might think the same thing I used to about it, but it's a really great stress and anxiety reliever. Honestly, I feel great after it and hopefully I continue to feel that way.

Also trying to do different things with myself like style wise. From dressing up more often because I really haven't lately and trying new outfits and looks. Even hairstyles and such. It's just a good feeling and will help you feel great about yourself and your confidence again! Lately I've been trying to save up and make money for me and my fiance to go on a good trip too just me and him. We haven't gotten to yet just us and we would love to and are definitely planning on it once we get a good vehicle coming up soon. Life is getting much better one day at a time and that's how I'm taking things now. Not stressing, forcing, anything. Just one step and one day at a time and going with the flow. Whatever happens happens. But lately I do feel a lot better and my optimistic side is waking back up finally. I'm also really excited that summer is coming up and it's warmer weather because that ALWAYS gets me in a better mood. In all honesty, I'm just so glad things are finally looking up for us and that soon they'll be even better because our lives have been in the dark for the longest time. These past few months, all I wanted to do was drink and get drunk every weekend and it just wasn't good because it only brought more of my depression out in me. Now I'm in such a good place I don't want to drink unless it's a fruity one by the beach with my guy. Everything's so good now and I hope it stays this way for a while.

Also, I hope you guys are all doing good and life is going good for you because you all deserve the best as well. If you are in a dark place like I was, know that things will get better. Also, if it's to do with your relationship, I finally talked to my guy and told him everything about how I feeling and really just everything and I feel so much better now that it's all out in the open and we can just move on and get along so much better now. We argue still, yes, but not near as bad. So I'll tell you guys, if it's your relationship that's causing you to be in a dark place like mine was, you've gotta tell him/her how you are feeling if you don't you'll get more down and it'll just end up right where I was. After you tell them how you're feeling and it's all there it'll either work out or maybe you two aren't meant to be and then you can just move on and start over and focus on yourself for a while. Either way, you'll end up in a happier place once you stop holding it all in and back. It's just eating you alive if you hold it all in. Let it out, say how you feel, if it works out it works out and if it doesn't it just doesn't and wasn't meant to be and you should move on to bigger and better things. Either way, do that. Then find your happy place and do your favorite things, tarot, yoga, writing, music, art, sports, the gym, running, whatever it is do it! It'll make you feel so much better. If you feel stuck and bored with your life, try new things like I am! You'll feel so much better, much more refreshed, much more energized, and life will look so much brighter! Plus, them endorphins are your BEST FRIEND. If you need anymore advice or would just like to connect with me follow me and reach out to me on social media which is linked all over my blog.
